One of the purposes of Galena Street East's tour program is to provide experiences that will raise the level of musicianship and dedication to the performing arts, not only in our city and country, but around the world. We believe that through music we can soften hearts, bring awareness to our culture, and exchange ideas.

Over the past thirty-six years Galena has become California’s Young Performing Ambassadors, performing throughout the United States, Western Europe, The Czech Republic, South America, Australia, New Zealand, the West Indies, the Bahamas, and Asia.

Our recent invitation to represent California in China at the 2008 pre-Olympic events is very exciting. China is opening its doors to western musical groups for the pre-Olympic American Festival. At this festival Galena Street East performers have been invited to represent California and the United States while performing in Beijing, at the Great Wall, in the ancient capital of Xian, Tianjin and Guangzhou. They will interact with students of China sharing and exchanging their talents and culture.

Here our performers will perform and explore in places that are truly wondrous to the western eye. This tour will be a life-changing experience for our performers. It holds the key to sharing thoughts, feelings, and ideas through music and dance in a cultural exchange like no other.
